Solitude offers its clientele a truly relaxing vacation experience where one can fully enjoy Florida’s natural beauty in comfort. On North Captiva you will find unpaved roads void of any cars and rarely a crowd. Your daily commute around this pristine island will be from your private golf cart. Your only appointment is to be at the beach at sunset to anticipate the elusive green flash. Your stress will melt away unless catching a 20 pound snook gives you undue trouble.

North Captiva offers a range of activities highlighted by secluded beaches which are world renowned for their incredible shelling. Guests at Solitude have full access to our club membership, further providing a broad array of fun. Numerous memory-making adventures are also available through the resort for an additional fee.

About North Captiva Island

Solitude is on North Captiva Island, located 3 miles offshore from Pine Island in the Southwest region of Florida.  It is a private island just north of Sanibel and Captiva.  Accessibility to this pristine, tropical island is by, water taxi, private boat or small plane. There are no bridges and no cars.  The Island offers 5 miles of beautiful beaches to walk on and 700 acres of protected State of Florida wilderness park and wildlife sanctuary that you can hike through...if your inner explorer calls for it.
